Well, well, well...what to say? I am the ultimate girl next door, not high maintenance and loving the simple things in life. I am a hopeless romantic--flowers, soft music, a moonlit night, a walk in the park holding hands etc. The little things in life mean the most and that goes for romance also. I am honest to a fault sometimes and do not believe in playing games with anyone's emotions, heart or head and I don't like anyone to do it to me. I firmly believe that there has to be some type of physical attraction between two people before there can be anything deep between them. Physical attraction can be the eyes, the smile, the voice, the personality, the overall physique, etc.--it is what draws you to that person and makes you know you like them, it is what you think of first when you think of that person. Think about it, in order for two people to like each other, there has to be something they like. I spent ten years in the army and loved every minute of it and, had it not been for downsizing, I would still be there. I am disciplined and will always be dicsiplined--get there, get there on time, do the job, do the job right, and get the hell out! LOL My kids and my family are so very important to me but, I apologize for sounding selfish, my life is my life and I need to get on with it. I am generally content with my life except that there is no one for me to share it with, no one to enhance it, no one to complement my life and make me whole and I have no one to give all this back to. THAT is what a relationship is. I am laid back and low stress and find that stressful situations just detract from the goodness of life. I love horror movies and hate most documentaries, I like just about any type of music EXCEPT the classics but I will listen to them if the situation dictates, I am a big reading fan and will read anything you put in front of me, I like the outdoor stuff as opposed to sitting in the house doing nothing--unless, of course, it is snuggling under the blankets with that special someone! I like to be fun and have fun but I also know there are times when you have to be serious. I like to talk and be talked to but I know there are times when quiet is good. Variety is the spice of life and two people should be alike as well as different. I believe relationships are 50/50, 24/7. Communication is essential--you need to know what the other is thinking, wanting, needing, liking, not liking, etc.

I think the ulitmate first date is one that is casual, low stress(meeting someone you don't know for the first time is stessful enough as it is!) and fun. You should be able to smile and laugh and talk and get to know one another to find out if you want to see each other again. A nice outdoor concert is good as well as a date for ice cream--simple, fun, memorable, intriguing.
