Okay, first of all, I LOVE to laugh (even though I sometimes sound like a machine gun). I know it's cliché, but I want someone with a great sense of humor. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's someone who takes himself too seriously. If you can't make fun of yourself, you're either extremely arrogant or have no self-esteem--and neither one works for me. There's nothing sexier than a healthy dose of self-deprecation every now and then. :)

I love, love, LOVE animals--and I have two dogs and three cats to prove it. There's nothing better than a happy, silly dog to boost your ego and a self-serving, aloof cat to keep you grounded. If you don't love animals, don't bother contacting me because our relationship will be doomed from the start. If fur on your clothes annoys you, I'm not the girl for you!

I can get down in the dumps as much as the next gal, but I’m generally a positive person. I know who I am and what I have and how appreciative I should feel to have it. If you’re the kind of guy who spirals into depression every time he gets a paper cut--or who thinks the world sucks in general--we’re definitely not a match. Nothing turns me off faster than a guy who constantly feels sorry for himself.

As far as hobbies go, I love hiking with my dogs. I tend to be somewhat of a homebody during the week, but I like to stay active on the weekends. I love traveling, although I haven't done enough as far as I'm concerned. I love movies and I enjoy reading. I like to try new things and I'm always pleasantly surprised to discover I love something I originally thought I'd hate.

I definitely want kids, but I don't really care if they're biological or adopted. I'm also open to the possibility of being a foster parent; I think big families are great, especially if you're opening your heart and home to kids who need it.

I don't consider myself religious, but I'm definitely spiritual. I have nothing against organized religion--and feel a certain amount of envy toward those who’ve found theirs--I just haven't found one that works for me. This is going to sound hokey, but I often find the woods and the mountains and the ocean to be more spiritual places than a church.

My political views are middle-of-the-road. I don't consider myself liberal or conservative since I tend to switch from side to side depending on the issue.

I like just about every kind of music except really twangy country and hard-core gangsta rap. If I had to choose, The Beatles would definitely be my favorite.
