I'm a single dad of a 12 year old daughter, who keeps me pretty busy. I work the midnight shift, and I umpire professionally for tournament and High School fastpitch softball. I have two female Harlequin Great Danes, and a male Mantle Great Dane. I haven't made dating much of a priority the last few years, but I'm more than ready to give it a try. I'm an old school rocker at heart, but can appreciate many different kinds of music. I'm looking for something real, not into games at this point in my life. I'm all my daughter has, and I'm really picky as to who I let get close to her. If I sound like someone you'd like to know, I'd love to hear from you. I'm definately not looking for a chat / text only relationship. While I appreciate modern technology, there's no substitute for spending quality time with that special someone. If you're looking to text / chat / talk for months on end with no possibility of meeting, I'm very much not interested.

*UPDATE* Seriously, this is a dating site, right? Why get offended if someone sends a note to say hi? We're all at different stages of life, and it's ok to not be interested in everyone that writes you. There's no reason to be so rude though!

Advice...if your profile says that you don't smoke, maybe you shouldn't post pictures of you smoking?

If your ID photo is of you kissing a former boyfriend, or obviously has him cropped out of the photo while you were cuddling or holding hands, maybe it's time to take a new photo?
It's so funny to me, the number of women on this site who have children, some multiple, and expect a man to accept them as his own, but are repulsed by the idea of the man having a child of his own. Come on now, man or woman, if you're pushing 40, and you're holding out for a partner who doesn't have children, you may be holding out for a while.
