I live in the mountains. It's a long way to the nearest grocery store, and fast food is out of the question. My home is in a quiet neighborhood of about 40 houses; most are vacation homes, but not mine. And no, I'm not related to the Unabomber, so don't be afraid of me. I'm actually a gentle man. Not a gentleman, even though I try to be one, but a gentle man. Unless you want me to be otherwise.

I like to laugh. There is a smile on my face in my picture, and that is how you will find me 95% of the time. Laughter is great exercise and just plain good for you, so I do it as often as possible. And, since I am a somewhat lazy person in certain ways, smiling comes naturally to me. It's said that you use twice as many muscles to frown as to smile, so that's where the laziness exhibits itself.

Backpacking used to be my favorite way to vacation, and after years of no vacations, I have started that up again. Went for a three day-er over the Fourth and I STILL like it. Just plain hiking is fun, too, so don't get the impression that you have to carry a bunch of stuff when we go for a walk. I don't need a pack animal. Horses might be fun, though.

Bought a new motorcycle this summer, and that is going to take up some time, too. If you like to ride, your own bike or mine, I want to hear from you. I even have two street bikes right now, so if you ride but don't have one, we can probably work something out.

I'm also trying to get in to dancing. No, I'm not really good at it, but...practice is on my list of activities. I promise not to wear boots, so it shouldn't be too painful for you to help me learn...

I have a job I love, and it gives me lots of free time. My schedule usually is from Tuesday to Thursday, with a half day on Friday sometimes. So I get at least a three day weekend almost every week. They're gonna have to pry me out of this gig with a crowbar!!

P.S. I smoke cigars. So, I do smell like tobacco sometimes, and since I admit that up front, it keeps me from writing to a LOT of you because you put "must not smoke" in your criteria. You are shortchanging yourself by doing that, in my not so humble opinion.
