My interests range widely and I have at least some talent in several different areas. I like spending time with cultivated people with high intelligence and lively creativity. People like these are not only stimulating -- they're also quick, clever and funny.

As for me, I am somewhat ambidextrous, I am both a cat and a dog person (although humans are the most interesting animal of all), and I am an outdoorsman who would only live in a big city. I've got postgraduate degrees from an Ivy League university. The visual arts, the live arts and literature (oh, I wish I had more time to read) in several languages are some of my loves. My musical tastes are eclectic, encompassing Baroque and Early Music through 20th-century Modernism, without omitting various World Music traditions, jazz (mostly of the late 50s), African and Latin polyrhythms, and acoustic and Chicago blues.

I value physical fitness and mental sharpness. I sometimes imagine that I could live on nothing but crusty bread, olive oil and fine red wine. That's what I imagine -- I know it's not true.

Coffee or wine (or maybe beer) would stimulate the conversation. A live performance -- theatre or music, possibly -- might provide the theme. Dancing could prolong the evening, if the evening moves in that direction.
