No picture, no talkie. (Evil laugh here: MUAHHH - HA - HA)
My screen name is from a Charles D-ckens story.
I'm wondering if some of you ladies aren't afraid you'll go to hell for lying about your age or body type here. Something to think about, eh? Me? I'm already going to hell for downloading my favorite music, so I'm not worried about it anymore.
I'm a late bloomer and a work in progress. I drank too much until I was in my mid thirties. I have almost 18 years clean now. I still smoke. If that's a deal breaker, I understand. C'est la vie.
I'm adventurous and good with my hands. Have tools will travel and can fix or install almost anything in a house from the joists up and the studs in. I like almost every genre of music from classical to blue grass and from Merle Haggard to Metallica. I love ethnic food, vintage movies, Shakespeare sonnets and romantic poetry. And because I like bargains, you can often find me trolling the isles of thrift stores and pawn shops.
If you're into mysteries, both invisible and ethereal, I can tell you my sun, moon and Mercury are in Pisces. My Venus is in Taurus and I'm a Virgo rising. That should confuse you.
I like a woman who's wit and sense of humor are intact, and is skilled in communication. If you have children, they are out on their own doing famously. If they're still at home, they are becoming more independent. You don't have to love your ex if you have one, but it's nice if you get along.
What do I respond to in looks? I fall in love with my eyes first

and ask questions later. I adore pear shaped women, with a little more in the bottom of your hour glass. (wink..wink) Slender, average or on the pretty and plump side. It's all good. It's ok if you're little "squishy" where it counts most. It causes me only joy and happiness. By the way...
In the end, it's not always what we say, think or feel we want. It's what we RESPOND to that matters most.
So..my longest relationship so far? Three lap dances in a row at a bachelor party. My God, I miss that girl!

Walks on the beach, Starbucks and similar activities lacking imagination are all out! No one goes to those places anymore. They're always too crowded with internet daters. We will find our own way. Shopping/barbecuing, sightseeing off the beaten path, museums, thrift stores, old cemeteries... We can always dress up like Barney and Thelma Lou and hold hands on the porch swing.
