My name is Kim. I'm 25 and an aspiring artist and author. I consider myself a Secular Humanist with New Age tendencies (If that makes any sense). I am very liberal and political. On the other hand I am a very fun, outgoing kind of girl who believes that just because you get older doesn't mean you have to get old. I love books, movies, music, road trips, all forms of travel, art, history, astronomy, world religions (I'm not religious, I just find them interesting), general good conversation and just hanging out with friends. I'm not much of a club person anymore; I find that you meet the same type of people in them. I am not a dramatic person and I find that the best relationships are ones in which you are honest, trustworthy and can complement each other as well as stimulate each other mentally, emotionally and physically. What I'm not looking for is someone who dresses like they fell out of a music video, someone who lies or has cheated, someone who takes themselves too seriously.I'm at the age where I want to really put myself out there in the hopes of finding something real with someone great even if it just turns out to be a friendship.

The first date would depend on the person I am with and making them comfortable. For some, dinner and a movie; for others a late night conversation at a local coffee shop or bookstore is best. These are my two favorites but It really depends on the guy. Some people are homebodies and would rather watch a monster movie or twilight zone marathon with liquor and take out. Or a walk by the river or the lake, even a picnic in the park. I'm good with those too. Since the first date is all about trying to get to know someone I would rather they not be nervous. So the location of the date is really up to them.
