I am an avid concert and theater patron - like all music but mostly rock (think Def Lepard, Linkin Park, Simple Plan and lots of stuff from the 70's, the best decade for music in my opinion). I travel for concerts all the time but, alas, my concert buddy moved away. I'm as comfortable in dresses or jeans, heels or runners, not afraid to get a little dirt under the nails, but I know which fork to use at a formal dinner.

Here's my wish list (in a partner):
Likes music, concerts and live theater - big and small productions.
Good conversationalist. (How can you go to work in the morning, come home in the evening and have nothing to say?)
Sense of humour - I like to laugh. Surely you do too.
Open minded about trying new things (get your mind out of the gutter - I mean worldly experiences) LOL
Spontaneous, as much as people can be with work and other responsibilities. Can you stay up late and still get up for work in the morning?
Not too into sports, fishing or hunting - to the point that you can't plan anything when these things are on.
There has to be a physical attraction or I won't want to kiss you and I do like kissing. LOL
A desire to travel - even if you haven't done much yet. Now that my kids are grown, I want to see more of the world.
You have to be able to afford to do the things you want to do. I can.

I have three of the best teenagers a mother could have. I'm so lucky for that. This also means I have lots of time to myself.

For a first meeting, I would only do coffee. Then you aren't committed to going on for a whole evening if the vibe isn't right. I don't believe in wasting time with the wrong person. You can pretty much tell quickly if the conversation is easy with a person, or there's no chemistry at all. You need to be attracted to the person too, or nothing else will work.
First dates are for talking and getting to know a person better. A picnic by the lake, followed by a play, followed by drink can be fun. Or dinner followed by some pool playing is always good too. Second or third date?? If there isn't gonna be one, you gotta be okay with my telling you it isn't in the cards for me. That's honesty.
