Hey, my name is Matt, I currently work full-time in the personal-security/exec.protection field and teach martial-arts/self-defense part-time.
I like to stay busy, when I'm not working or training I enjoy outdoor activities (presuming it's warm enough) like camping, hiking, target-shooting, etc. I also enjoy reading (history, thrillers, mystery), movies (action, drama, comedy), and music (80's rock, country, oldies...little bit of everything).

I've got a good, albeit a little twisted, sense of humor and I'm pretty easygoing although I have been accused of stubbornness on occasion...lol. I'm generally pretty quiet initially but when I'm around people I'm comfortable with, my goofy side makes its appearance.
As for a positive character trait, I know it's something of a cliche but I take the whole "southern gentleman" thing seriously. In my opinion, honesty, courtesy, and respect are never out of place or out of style.

I'm looking for a woman who enjoys having a good time whether we're out doing something exciting just or takin' it easy. I'd like to meet someone who is intelligent, with a good sense of humor, who likes being treated like a lady. Also, maturity is a must, I'm not interested in any juvenile drama or stupid games...'nuff said.

I don't like movies for the first date since you really can't talk very much during a movie. I generally prefer something a little more laid-back that would give us a chance to talk and get to know each other. Having dinner or maybe going somewhere for some coffee, taking a walk, or going skating, bowling, or mini-golfing...just something fun.
