Ramblings:
Until I create a blog site, I'll put my random music thoughts down here. BTW, the name of the condition for the overwhelming urge to write is hypergraphia. You be the judge if I suffer from that.

Am listening to the Love Song playlist. I listen to it at night or when it's a cloudy day.

"Father Figure" by George Michael is an example of how much he's grown as an artist. I really like it because it is very intimate.

"Ten Years Gone" demonstrates Led Zeppelin's song writing depth. When you think of them, you think of "Stairway to Heaven" and "Whole Lotta Love". However, this song and "The Rain Song" are very beautiful and poignant.

"Two Steps Behind". What can I say? I love Def Leppard and Hair Metal! Plus, I'm a sucker for power ballads. On a side note, one of my favorite set of lyrics is from "Photograph":
You got some kind of hold on me
You're all wrapped up in mystery
So wild and free, so far from me
You're all I want, my fantasy
I think that is the woman I want.

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". Such a tender, romantic song. The thing that strikes me about this song is that it was the love song in "Play Misty for Me". This was "Fatal Attaction" before "Fatal Attraction", yet in the middle of the movie, Clint Eastwood and Lisa Hartman were sharing a moment with this song playing in the background. Cool. BTW, Evelyn Draper is not the woman I want. :)

I've created a new playlist called, "My Girl". It's easy to describe certain measureable qualities I want in a woman, but it is hard to describe the intangibles I desire. I'm hoping these songs give an idea of not only the qualities I'm seeking, but also the feeling I want to experience with or without my partner.
