About Me
I'm a buoyant-hearted, faithful, empathic person with open arms and an big smile! A few moments of lightheartedness or laughter can make a really tough day feel so much better for all of us. I'd like to find a friend-before-a-lover who is self-assured but wants to partner with a lady who can keep the sparkler of love lit (for one special person), her herb gardens lush (for especially savory meals) and her power tools in good working order (I love creative projects small and large). I'm adventurous, expressive, creative, attentive and gentle. Animals are drawn to me as I am to them. Being out in nature and reinventing "good stuff" makes me happy. Camping and antique shops and art...OH MY..heeheehee) I embrace thoughtful conversation, creativity, alternative perspectives, history, acting and music. I enjoy being around intelligent, creative, broad-thinkers and unconventional people...kids included. A review once described me as "... a gregarious and an eclectic, world-viewing, unconventional thinker. 'What box?' is her approach to most things".
I play folk guitar and can sing most styles of music torch, folk, jazz, rock, Celtic, R&B. Yes...I spontaneously break into song sometimes. I've been a professional singer and Boy, can I tell you some stories! I am rekindling an old interest in jewelery making and rock/gem hounding. My naturally am drawn to figuring out how things work. I loved scuba diving and tried some rock-climbing and skydiving when I lived in CA. I sport a curvaceous figure and can be comfortable in a Looneytoons teeshirt or a formal. Costuming and role-playing at parties, Faires, reenactments etc. or for stage is great fun. I act when I have the time.
Some of my tenets are.... New concepts are alluring; Meaningful debate is mind expanding. Hard work is worth it when you're proud of the results. Open communication, honesty and trust sculpt the foundation of any lasting relationship; Practice the techniques to master the skills. Good manners and polite conversation may be a sign of culture and worldliness; but embracing someone as they are when relaxed is a sign of a comfortable friendship.
First Date
Lets be able to talk and laugh comfortably. Outdoor festivals, shows or concerts (not too loud)or maybe a museum or art show where we can compare perspectives; wine tasting or funky little coffee places are always a nice place to say "hello"for the first time.
