Where does one start? I believe in happy coincidences. I believe in the power of art and communication. I also believe in the power of food and a solid debate on the nature of human kind, preferably over an amazing Syrah or a strong coffee from Sumatra. I believe in innocence and in knowledge that comes from reading history. I do not believe in the Lifetime Network though I will admit to having watched it on a crazy Sunday afternoon when I didn't feel like watching the commercials during a soccer match. And let's not forget re-runs of The Golden Girls - come on, Bea Arthur is the bomb and you know it. I believe in contradictions and the ability to see two sides to every situation. I like hard boiled detective stories and old Hollywood lore.

Oh, one other thing. I'm not really interested in dating anyone with kids. Sorry. Just not my bag. I love kids and would rather have some of my own. I was looking for a place to check that off but the POF people haven't added that to the mail setting function. For the record, they should. Yay kids!

An ideal date might involve great food - it might be found at a local Loteria or at Sushi Nizawa with the infamous 'sushi nazi'. It might involve something creative - an art gallery, a film, a concert and it might involve some stupid laughable tangent that got started from a couple beverages. I originally wrote ****ails - evidently that is too risque. With that said, I've had many great dates that didn't involve booze. Conversation is the key. Amazing Conversation makes the date.. amazing.
