I've set my profile to 'Dating' hoping that perhaps one day I will connect with someone who ends up turning into more.
Looks like Summer is surrendering to Fall.....my favorite time of year. Being active is still my focus but am missing someone to share those activities with. I have more energy than my 45 yr old friends, according to them. I work out three times a week and believe it keeps me young and strong.
My goal is to remain happy and healthy while finding a like soul to connect with. I'm old enough to know what I want and what I don't want and still believe that a connection is possible.
I'm fairly youthful in my way of thinking and tend to relate easier to men my age or younger. Having said that I know that 'old' or 'young' thinking is as much an attitude or a 'keeping up with the times' as it is a chronological age thing.
I'm a one man woman and expect the same loyalty in a partner for all the obvious reasons. I'm looking to date first and explore any chemistry and who knows ..... It's why we are all on this site. My quick wit and sense of humour has held me in good stead thus far in life and looking forward to matching wits with a worthy opponent. Or....hey....just jawing for awhile would do!
My tastes in movies and music are pretty varied as I'm open in that respect as well. I love anything live, be it a concert/ballet/play/symphony/figure skating.
A few preferences:
cats over dogs although I warm up to any animal once I know them
sightseeing while travelling over tanning at a resort (having said that I do love beaches...)
clean-shaven
fit & somewhat active
snowshoeing over skiing
I'll take in a movie while you golf..
bicycles over motorbikes
camping and/or B&B's over expensive Hotels
cleaning up over cooking unless doing both together
a night of dancing over Casinos/gambling
* You know...after all is said and done, our likes/dislikes, preferences etc. are fine but when we meet someone we click with all that stuff would be worked out.....

I find that a first date is best spent getting to know each other better and walking and talking is a perfect way to accomplish that...down by the water somewhere or in and around exploring the city, either downtown,Commercial Dr or White Rock. In this part of the world the options are endless. Grabbing an ice cream/coffee/drink apres walk would be fun and then....if we click the rest is up to us!
