Native South Louisianian, 5 ft. - 8 in., 175 lbs. (or so), 36, LSU grad, never been married, no children, have an enjoyable job, in my spare time I enjoy watching sporting events on tv and in person (especially baseball and football), Geaux Tigers (huge LSU fan) and Geaux Saints! I also like all kinds of music, mostly classic rock, some country (old and new) and classical music as well. I'm originally from a town called St. Amant in Ascension Parish, but I live in Kenner and work in Metairie. I do visit my hometown about once a week to see my parents when I'm off from work.

I was encouraged by a friend to try online dating, so I'm new to all of this and I realize I'm getting a late start. But I'm realizing that I'm missing something in my life.

I would like to meet someone to make a new friend and start a relationship, but I'm ultimately looking for a long-term relationship. My ultimate goal is to find someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. Be able to support myself and someone else and if I'm fortunate enough, to start a family. I want to find someone that will make me an even better person.

I hope the Star Trek photo hasn't scared any of you away, but if you've noticed it, there is a story behind it, but you'll have to ask me to find out more. Trust me -- there is an explanation behind it. I don't take a lot of pictures of myself, but I hope to add better photos of me for this page in the future. I even tried to take some pics of me swimming underwater with one of those disposable underwater cameras. It was an experiment that had some success. I'm near-sighted and normally wear glasses, so you can imagine the fun I had trying to take pictures of myself underwater. I enjoy swimming when the weather is nice on a hot day.

I like to think of myself as a pretty easy going person, but goal-oriented and focused on my career. Finding time to do the things I enjoy can be quite a challenge. I've developed an ability to calmly deal with stress in my line of work (which on many occasions is necessary and helpful).

I'm hoping to find someone who finds strength and peace in their faith in God as I do, but who loves to have fun and talk. In our fast-paced world, we often forget the simple pleasures of a friendly smile and a pleasant conversation. I'm not exactly the partying type -- so I'm not much on the whole bar scene, but I do enjoy having fun, but also enjoy some solitude in reading and listening to music on a quiet night. But there are times when I don't want to be alone.
