I am a music teacher, currently as a substitute while looking for a full-time position. I want to eventually become a high school band director and know it will take work to get there. I love to play music (I play flute and piano), as well as listen to it. My musical tastes run across the board from classical to some country, Broadway to 80s metal. I love watching college basketball and football. There isn't much that keeps me away from being at or watching a KU game. I am a church goer and am involved with many aspects of the church, but that doesn't mean you have to go with me. I love to travel, but don't get the opportunities much right now. I like to go out, but am also just as happy being at home with a good book or movie.

I'm looking for someone who can take my sarcasm in stride and even come back with it. I am stubborn and independent but find that there are times I wish I had someone there to depend on. I don't play games and don't want to be played.

I don't have a specific plan for a first date. Mostly I just want time to get to know the person that I am out with.
