I'm a regular kind of fella, who isn't actually from Nebraska. I was born and raised on Vancouver Island. I go to Simon Fraser University. I enjoy creative writing as an artistic outlet and reading for enjoyment. I have traditional values and I'm conservative in nature but liberal in habit. (No that doesn't mean I'm affliated with a political party - go read a book) I am someone who would be considered reserved. I don't feel the need to constantly talk in some contexts. But that doesn't mean I never talk, I like to have a good time and I've got a quick tongue ready to put in a witty remark or a fun joke. I have to add that I think English humour is by far the best kind. Something unique about me.. part of my family has been in North America since the 17th century.

I'm big on music which would make me like everyone else I'm sure. If I were to pick an all time favourite band, it'd be a contest between U2 and the Chili Peppers. I can't list them all but other bands I listen to are Alice in Chains, Be Bop Deluxe, Beastie Boys, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Iron Maiden, John Frusciante, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Miles Davis, Elvis Presley, RATM, Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden, etc. I also enjoy the older country music, like Merle Haggard and the like.
I don't own an ipod or anything like that, you hear more without them in when you walk around I think and if you wear them people are likely less inclined to talk to you because you're in your own world.

But back to reality, I'm looking for good company. Some to have a drink with or just hang out in general. I don't really care if you can carry on an intelligent conversation as long as you're pretty - I kid. It'd be preferable if you at least read an online newspaper, or watched the news once a week. You should probably be open-minded when it comes to beards. And if you aren't, you're missing out. A good sense of humour goes a long way, but sarcasm only goes so far. It'd be swell if liked older movies (Turner Classic Movies) and older music like the Rat Pack etc.
