I am a gregarious woman with a variety of interests from reading, cross word puzzles, and cards to music/dancing, theater, art, biking and long leisurely walks (and fast ones, too for exercise)

Most importantly, a person must be honest, compassionate and thoughtful.

First dates are a time to see if there will be a rapport and common interests. I would prefer a low key restaurant, or a coffee shop, so I can engage in conversation with the person I am meeting. (A film, or a loud bar, is definitely not my idea of a first date.) A cup of coffee along with a nice walk would also be pleasant. An appropriate atmosphere where I can begin to know someone is what I'd prefer, and there are a number of options.
