I am a curvy Alabama girl (Roll Tide!)with blonde hair and green eyes (my profile pic is recent, taken Dec 24, 2009). I used to be a plus sized model so I think most would say I am decent looking. Despite being larger than the norm of an "average" woman, I make every effort to take care of myself. I believe that how I look influences how I feel and how I feel is usually how others see me. I love very feminine clothes and admit to being fairly "girlie" in most ways though I am not squimish or afraid to get my hands dirty. I love to have a good time and I try to make fun whenever I can. I am inquisitive, never meet a stranger and everyone is a friend until they prove themselves unworthy of the title.

I am the mom of two great kids, 14 and 10. We have no family in the area but we have several close family friends who are like family to us. I try to keep a positive outlook on life. In my adult life I have lived through things that no woman (or man) should have ever had to live through but despite it all I still believe that living well is the best revenge!

I created this account to find special friends. Since I have children, a very active job in family advocacy, a house to keep up with and a busy life in general it is hard to just hang out in public places waiting to meet the right kind of friends. Believe it or not...there are very few single men hanging out at the military soccer fields!?! I like myself just fine but I've heard all of my jokes and they're not funny anymore. I want company, preferable someone else who doesn't take themselves or life too seriously and one who has physical endurance so he can row the canoe back in when my arms are tired. :-P

Fun for me:
the beach, snorkeling, swimming,sun bathing, picnics,cooking,visiting and taking in a flight at a vineyard,gardening, camping out, leisure bike rides, fishing (I can cut bait, bait my own hook and gut 'em too), german and microbrew beers,watching SEC football, casinos,amusement and water parks,traveling (have been all over Europe and the eastern USA and Canada),comedy clubs,live music/bands, bowling (just joined an MWR league and working on changing my bowling luck to actual skill), long and hot bubble baths, dancing, dueling piano bars, classic and southern rock, coffee and tea shops, avant garde movies, the theatre....just to name a few. Also, just took up shooting....I'm lovin' it!
