passions are jiu jitsu, surfing, traveling, and eating good food! I love nature (animals, plants, flowers (yes flowers). Like snowboarding, fishing, reading a good book, learning. Oh, I also have an intense fascination with aviation and flight. I have friends all over the place and would die for them. I like meeting new people and seeing new places, and as generic as that sounds, its true! My family would describe me as very free spirited and spontaneous and they are right! I do enjoy the finer things in life like a great meal and an evening out. Im not a clubbing type and I do not need to have on designer anything. I dont have a hot car, I dont use pick up lines, and I dont go out of my way to try to stand out to women. I let my soul do the talking. I like to look nice and be presentable but thats as far as that goes. I love my ipod and love punk rock. Going to punk shows is so much fun, cant wait to see Face to Face in Sept! On the other end of the musical spectrum, Jack Johnson is a god to me. I have a ton of respect for hardworking successful people but after being your normal white collar guy for many years I learned a few things. I have gone through the motions of going to my job in Midtown with that aweful commute, coming home, working out, eating, and going to bed. (rinse andrepeat 5 days a week). I thought that having a really nice salary and being a part of a very high ranking pharma company would bring some sense of accomplishment and status. It has not at all. I was miserable.
This sounds corny but the things in life that have saved me from having a burnt out soul are surfing and brazilian jiu jitsu, (which I started 2 years ago) These things are what I was born to do and without them I dont think life would be worth living.
I am currently in Costa Rica until the end of the summer and in the Fall, Im going back to school, most likely to be an RN. I am so excited to start classes again and work towards a new career! I love medicine and caring for people and I think health care may just be the right path for me. I just want to do something incredibly meaningful with my life and money isnt on the top of the list, although it will be needed to travel and buy a house someday.
