I have dedicated myself to my career, and become successful in my field (community journalism). I'm getting to the point in my life where I'm tired of not having someone special to share life's ups and downs. When I'm not at work, I'm at home with a dog and a trio of cats. I have a pretty weird sense of humor, I'm a good listener and I believe everyone has a story to tell, good or bad. I despite liars and people who use others, especially women. I can listen to most kinds of music, I usually scan the radio dial and listen to what I feel at that particular moment. I enjoy my career and where I live. This is a great area with many things to do, I just don't like doing stuff alone.

A first date with me would be kind of awkward. I would probably ask a lot of questions to get to know someone, but I'd try not to sound like a journalist conducting an interview. After I'm reminded I'm not conducting an interview, I would tell my date whatever they wanted to know, any questions they want to ask. I have nothing to hide. I'd like to meet you somewhere where we'd both be comfortable, over dinner or something similar. We could go for a drive to see the sights.
