I'm lousy at pool, darts, sports in general, and cooking, but love to make a total fool of myself trying in the interest of having fun. I write a humor column based on do-it-yourself disasters (typically mine) and my readers can't wait to hear what I'm going to completely foul up next. Why do I do that? I try to laugh at myself before others get the chance to, that way they're laughing WITH me, not AT me, lol. In the true spirit of the Irish I find great joy in simple pleasures and good company.

Not to say I don't have a serious side. If you want a caring, supportive woman at your side who is not controlling or insecure, I'm qualified. If you both expect and give trust and respect, you won't be disappointed. I find fun in almost everything I do and genuinely love the simple pleasures in life. If you want someone to turn over new stones, while cherishing the old ones, and laugh with along the way, there's no better candidate.
I appreciate that if I like who you are overall, I can't take away the pieces I don't like and expect you to still be the person I do like. There's always compromise, don't get me wrong, but all the things we enjoy, all the mistakes from our pasts, even the little mistakes we haven't made yet...they all piece together the person that we are today and will be tomorrow. You're a package deal, and so am I. Trick is, finding the right package. I believe there's no lonelier feeling than being with the wrong person, and since I am happy in my life, I won't risk that for just any man. We're better off being alone than with someone if it's the wrong someone or for the wrong reasons. If we can see each other for who we are, or better yet, for who we can be, and bring out the best in each other, there's no stopping us!
Now you would think most of this goes without saying, but I have found it doesn't, so I'm going to spell it out. I'm not looking to be anyone's savior, nursemaid, or mother. If you drink in excess, struggle with drug abuse, or are emotionally incomplete, I'm not the answer. If you are financially dependent on others, I can't afford you. I am looking for a strong, complete human being to share laughter, love and life with. I don't think a half a man and a half a woman put together make one whole human being. It's just a bloody mess. :-)

I love baseball, riding motorcycles, laughter, music, animals, and nature. I love to write and dream of retiring to a mountain cabin one day or ranch in the country so I can become that best selling author.
What are your dreams?

I truly believe it is the company, not the venue that makes for a pleasant outing. So it really doesn't matter!
