I am 49, but everybody thinks I am younger. I love and need to go out to see live concerts, listen to cutting edge new and old music and explore intellectually, geographically and physically with good company.

On the surface I may look quite mainstream, but underneath is a very different person who can be spontaneous, somewhat wild, with a great amount of depth, who follows a less beaten path. I try to avoid pretension and could be considered a sophisticated fun loving, adventurous and thoughtful person.

I am an affectionate and passionate individual who also has great respect for strong and independent women who are prepared to stand up for themselves. I am very independent, self-reliant, untamed, uninhibited and only want to see women who consider themselves as equals, will never accept anything less and are self-reliant. I feel very strongly about equal rights for all and am extremely liberal when it comes to social issues. I enjoy all things that are indie; music, movies, women, etc.

I believe chivalry, obligation and responsibility should exist among both genders. Among many other things, this is a mandatory for me. I'm looking for a woman who isn't the "friends first" type (life is too short); a woman who considers herself to be nontraditional. I'm also looking for friendship, but one that is intertwined with passion and romance.

I love the outdoors and nature and spend a great deal of time on the bay, racing and cruising on sailboats. I enjoy sharing pleasures with others and desire a strong person who can also share their interests with me.
