hey there. thanks for stopping by and checking out my profile. i work in IT and can be admittedly a little geeky during the day, but like to put these things down and relax after work. i like all types of music, but i love to play and listen to acoustic guitar. i also love 70s r&b soul (bill withers all day, every day). i'm an open-minded individual and like to learn about the differences that make each of us unique. i like to travel as well and experience other cultures.

my close friends and family would describe me as genuine, kind, loyal, humble, silly, sincere and fun.

ideally, i envision a relationship with a special someone with whom we have natural chemistry (doesn't feel forced), mutual attraction and a healthy respect for one another. in my humble opinion, those can be the building blocks that may grow into a truly, special bond.

i'm not interested in drama nor am i interested in controlling a potential partner or being controlled (life's too short for that). i believe that you can't directly change people. you may influence them, but ultimately only individuals can change themselves.

i think, in general, i have an inquirying mind as i like to learn how stuff works, but i'm not a know-it-all. whether that's a 4-stroke engine, a stringed instrument's harmonic, the collapse of the financial market, what affects the price of oil, or why i REALLY dislike certain songs or jingles, yet can't get them out of my head!! ("gimmie a break..." kit kat song, subway's $5 foot long, UMBRELLA-ELLA-ELLA, pirates of the carribean, or best yet - hanson's hmmbop. don't even act like it hasn't happened to you!!!)

my family is important to me. we are an odd, quirky group with strike contrasts, but - at the end of the day - we genuinely love and support one another. i must say that i'm not materialistic, but there are things that i'm passionate about and had to get (such as my U87). i try to be healthy, but i wouldn't say i'm a health nut. i like to bike, but you will never catch me in biker shorts! i'm pro-vegetables and fruit, but not a vegetarian. i love most ethnic foods, but sometimes there's nothing better than making homemade chicken vege soup.

i'm open, however, i suggest something at a reasonably quiet, relaxed restaurant/cafe for some coffee/tea/drink (not so quiet and relaxed that we're the only ones there! but not so crowded/loud that we can only hear each other by YELLING!).
