I love reading and writing so much that if you cut me open you'd probably find that I'm full of ink and paper. :) I have a natural affinity for anything creative, and that includes painting, drawing, singing, playing guitar (badly), cooking (well) and dancing. I can't act to save my life. I'm crazy good with a hula hoop. I love A LOT of music from all genres, up to and including the oft-maligned rap and country (but only the good stuff, I swear). My most secret, slightly shameful aspiration is to become a badass spoken-word poet. I've lived on my own since I graduated high school and don't depend on mum and dad for anything but love. I'm a preschool teacher who loves her job except for the days I'm tearing out my hair. I'm just discovering the amazing things my body can do and am wishing I'd got off my ass earlier in life. I am mad about nature, hiking, camping, the ocean, and skinnydipping - I don't get to experience these things nearly enough! I'm shy when I first meet someone but once I get to know and trust them there's not much that I don't love to talk and laugh about. I've never been in love but I would like to. Someone once described me as having "that sexy-naughty-virgin thing going on". I'm not even gonna think about babies and marriage until I'm 30; before then I want to travel the world and drink in all it has to offer. I'm currently saving the money to do that and sometimes the waiting is brutal. I want to make money as a writer but until then I'm trying to figure out how I want to Clark-Kent my way through the workforce. Thinking about treeplanting next year. I don't have TV but I don't get all uppity about it; instead, I listen to CFUR and the CBC. I have a quiet love of Kevin Smith movies. I want to write my memoir as a graphic novel when the time comes. I'm tenderhearted, loyal, funny, smart, and true. I know what I want but at the same time accept that I don't know anything. I'm looking for passion and suprises. I'm not your average girl; I'm a free spirit and I don't really fit a particular mold, which can be hard sometimes. Mostly I'm looking to embrace life with arms wide open (eew, Creed) and am looking for a very openminded person seeking the same. :)

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not looking for anything serious right now - I'm more geared toward having fun. Due to the changing tides of life I don't get to see my nearest and dearest friends as much as I would like to, so I'm trying to expand my horizons. This doesn't mean that I'm going to use you or play games, because I like to think I have too much personal integrity to do that, but that we should take the joyful moments for what they are and savour them for all they're worth.

I love exploring the green areas in and around the city that most people just don't think about, and recently I've stumbled across some really beautiful places that I'd love to share with someone. So how about walking through a forest in the sun, dipping our toes in the river, and having a mean picnic in a meadow amid the bees, ducks, and occasional deer?
