I am a single dad and love and cherish my time with my kids. I am also 100% committed to God through Jesus Christ. I am not looking to compromise by beliefs or morals. Pre-marital sex is NOT my goal and I will not make life altering decisions during the "infatuation stage." I have made my fair share of mistakes in relationships and premature sex has probably caused the most long term problems. I am not a prude- just looking to find God's best for me. I believe a good relationship means washing feet (if you don't know what this means I'll be happy to explain it) and being very careful with one's words and attitudes.

I am a student at Baker College in their Nursing program so basically college student poor for two more years (I do have a full-time job between classes and part-time during class) then it is off like a rocket from what I understand. Evidently male nurses are in very high demand.

My hobbies right now are keeping my children entertained when they are with me and studying when they aren't. We have gone to MI Adventure, bowling, tubing, shooting, swimming and played at a few parks. I am a faithful listener of WCSG and if we agree on this it is a bonus, if you love Joyce Meyer and think her teachings rock, we have a double bonus.

My interests lean mainly to outdoor activities and thoughts of snuggling on the beach wrapped up in a blanket catching a sunset or sitting next to a campfire really appeal to me. As does a quiet night at home watching a good movie. Pretty easy going-not very demanding nor do I have a checklist or hoops that must be jumped through. I am not interested in gold diggers and quite honestly do not have anything to offer one. I am looking to be loved for who I am, probably much the same way you are and as I get older the value and importance I place on good conversation and communicating at the heart level increases.

I enjoy 80's rock and some of the better Country love ballads. Shania Twain's early stuff rocks as does Alabama's, Little River Band, Clint Black's, and Randy Travis' love songs.

I hope to be in a situation soon where I will be able to travel. I have promised my son a trip out West Elk hunting and to Hawaii to play in the waves and body surf together.

I absolutely love natural beauty, romantic solitude and getting away from the cares of everyday life for a few days. Spending time deep in the woods near a quiet lake with my special girl with no alarm clock, a little private beach and our own firepit and canoe... life couldn't get any better, could it? I know you are out there somewhere.

If you have gotten this far, you deserve the answer to the first question I am asked, "Why do you think your marriage failed?" I will not dis my ex. She did all she could and I think I did as well but we really missed the "chemistry" boat bad. We got married very soon after we found out a baby was on the way and we did our best to make a marriage out of what probably should have never been anything more than a "friendship." Both having deep convictions about two parent households and not even CONSIDERING abortion, we tried our best. Held it together for almost 10 years, but didn't make forever. It is sad, I probably also lost a very good friend in the deal as well. She is a good mom to my kids and I have no worries about her saying anything to them negatively about me. I doubt very highly we would ever reconcile as I think we both know we should have not tried to make it anything more than a friendship and we are both attracted to something different than each other.

First date could be as simple as grocery shopping or grabbing coffee or ice cream. Anything that allows conversation at a normal volume level is good with me. And because I am not interested in rushing headlong into a love affair- talking is just fine. Maybe a stroll on the beach or Grand Haven's boardwalk. I also love fireworks and bonfires.
