You know how Ozzy Osbourne says (sings) "Rock and Roll is my religion and my law"? I understand where he's coming from. If I were more musically talented, I would say the same thing....but, a few years ago, I decided to take a yoga class...I felt that yoga was always whispering to me. I had videotapes, and I was even reading Yoga Journal..but I decided to take a class. I ended up going to the nearest studio to my house..which was a Bikram studio...hot yoga. Previously, I hated getting sweaty, but there was something about how I felt after the first class that hooked me. Although a lot of people would describe me as carefree and happy-go-lucky, I am very serious and disciplined about yoga.
I teach fourth grade and true to my passion, I try to get my students into yoga.
My other passion is rock and roll music...I like most types--classic, hair bands, alternative, 80's. I know a lot of trivia about bands.
I try to have a postive attitude throughout my daily life. I like to enjoy life and I have a great sense of humor. One thing some people say to me is, "I never know if you're kidding or not." So....I guess you could say I'm deadpan.
I would like to say something about the photo I chose. I was walking around Pacific Grove with my teenage daughter. I noticed there was lots of water backed up from the gutter on the sidewalk. Hmmm...that looks a little slippery, I thought. I stepped in it anyway and down I went. All that yoga has not made me graceful, apparently. And that explains all the mud on my jeans...and the expression on my face.
I'm looking for someone who is active, loves dogs and cats and who would at least be willing to try a yoga class with me. (That is if you're not already a practitioner.) I consider myself a life-long learner, and I'm always willing to have intelligent conversations about science, philosophy, music, and even pop culture.
I have custody of my 15 year old daughter and she, needless to say, is a huge part of my life. We are both vegetarians and try to be health conscious, (which becomes difficult at times, because I'm a spontaneous baker of cookies and brownies.) I don't require you to be a vegetarian, however it would be a rare occasion for me to cook meat for you. (just being honest.)

Start out with a yoga class! Then, I would want to go to my favorite hangout Starbucks! We could sit and chat...If that goes well, then we'll talk about having a meal. ;)
