Life is what you make it and I’m not one to let it pass me by! I’m feeling a sense of rebirth – starting fresh after 20+ years of marriage and excited to meet a great, fun, active, intelligent guy to share this next chapter of my life with!

I’m new at this dating scene and times have certainly changed – or maybe it’s just us? We are not teenagers anymore, are we?

I'm an active, easygoing, intelligent, successful, independent, attractive woman with a positive outlook on life. I love meeting new people and having fun. I'm happiest outdoors and prefer to enjoy a beautiful sunset, rather than the latest sitcom or reality show. I like to live life to the fullest and try to remain balanced as well. Work, exercise, relaxing, socializing, volunteering, friends and family are all very important to me and I try to make time for them all. But now that my kids are grown, I’m finding I have more time on my hands and I’m ready for new friendships. I don’t want more children of my own, but certainly don’t mind if the man I meet has kids of his own – regardless of their age.

I like to travel, with recent adventures to the Czech Republic, cycling in the South of France and kayaking the Broken Group Islands on the West Coast. Some trips I’d like to start planning are a bicycle tour of Croatia (have heard the islands are beautiful), touring the wine country in Spain and hiking near Zermatt, Switzerland.

I’m registered for the Ride to Conquer Cancer in 2010 so my next personal goal is to be able to bike for 200 kms in 2 days and still be able to walk (and sit!) after I’m done! Having someone at the finish line to high-five (or hug) me when it’s over will be a huge bonus! Of course, raising money for what I think is a great cause will be worth the effort.

I’ve been told I look (and I certainly feel) younger than my years. Just in case you assumed I have lied about my age – I have not! I would rather start (and continue) a relationship on an honest note.

My “Mr. Right” would be interested in talking/listening, and getting to know each other. Someone who is intelligent, gentle, honest, secure, active - likes to get out on the weekends to enjoy this great city we live in, walk, hike, cycle, explore, enjoy! Spending the day together and finishing it off with a nice dinner (cook-in or eat-out), cozy up on the couch with a video or just chatting over a few glasses of wine. I think everyone has something to offer, and I’m eager to learn something new from you!
