Hi guys,

My friends and family tend to call me fiercely independent and that is only somewhat true. I don't mind being alone in fact I think we all require alone time to re-group and re-energize ourselves. But I "AM Human" and we humans are communal beings. When we don't have a community of support whether it is family or friends that become family we will not thrive.

I enjoy reading but I am not a book-worm, I have varied tastes from Historical Novels, to Spiritual Development and Personal Improvement. I enjoy a lot of music. Just about any kind of relaxation/meditation, Native American Flute, Classic Rock and Roll (Not screaming Acid Rock), Some Country. I don't care for rap, grunge, acid rock, a bad vibration for me.

I enjoy everything about the outdoors - I love it from the mountains to the ocean, and all of the elements of it. While I am not a snow bunny or skier, I can appreciate it on snoeshoes for a while. Even though I like the snow, I like it alot more when it stays in the Mountains and not in the lowlands. :) I love the water, being ON it vs. in it. I have a fair amount of sailing experience and miss it. I would like to try kayaking or canoeing but not white water rafting. DON'T SWIM! Walking by water pleases me a lot because of the constant changes from calm to crashing waves its all good energy. I may be considered a tree hugger because I am in awe of our old growth forests in this State and they are magical to me. Not to mention the fresh air you get when being among them.

I enjoy cooking when it isn't always just for me and I haven't killed anyone yet. I would like to find someone that enjoys cooking together. Living simply is something that I am working on because I know we can't take it all with us anyway and I don't think I really NEED anymore stuff.

Things I know after passing that 50 mark is that as we all get older and wiser there is a new appreciation for sharing the good times with someone and to have someone by your side when the not so good times roll in too.

I work at keeping myself as healthy as possible, because my work as a Massage Therapist is very physical already, I don't spend time in gyms, I'd personally much rather take a long walk and get fresh air than be in a sweaty gym. I am not a spandex woman either. My goal is to be an excellent example for my clients. That means feeding myself with positive and nutritious food for the MInd, Body and Spirit.

I keep a circle of spiritually minded people and while I don't subscribe to the dogma and tenants of the mainstream denominational religions I do attend a spiritual service that believes that God is still a loving God, not a judgmental one that controls with guilt and fear.

Are you wondering yet what I might be looking for in you?
You are loving, genuine, and authentic. You are not a Manby Pamby kind of guy. You love me completely for who I am, without need to change me. You enjoy some of the same kind of activities I do (you already saw some of my interests). You can enjoy a quiet night watching TV, a movie, reading or listening to music. You enjoy cooking, drives in the country, and you have a strong spiritual side. You enjoy being free to express yourself as the kind spirit that you are. You can light up a room with your powerful energy yet unasuming demeaner. You are not afraid to express your power gently so that others can fully appreciate it without being overpowered. You are not quick to judge and you have a witty sense of humor....that makes me laugh so much my belly hurts and in the same way you are able to laugh at yourself, without giving up your personal power or sacrificing anyone elses. You are able to express your feelings without making someone else feel small. You love pets and might have some of your own and is eccepting of mine, my cat.

I am looking forward to sharing these same qualities with you too, as well as new experiences. Being open to going places, and I don't mean high on the hog places either. I don't think we have to go half way around the world to find some incredible new adventures, in fact I am quite positive that there is more than plenty to explore here in the US and Canada to keep someone busy for a very long time. I am wanting to go camping for a while and not be afraid to get dirty. Yes, I wash up just fine, do you? I want to do all the Canyons of the US and have only seen a bit of one so far. Would be fun to do it on horseback. I want to see the Black Hills of South Dakota and the Badlands, learn to fly fish in the rivers under the big sky of Montana, re-explore the Blackfoot Indian country as it has pulled at my heartstrings for years now, things like that. Not things a person really wants to do alone. At least I don't.
