I love many things:sailing a good race, exploring new places and rediscovering favorite haunts, hanging out with friends, wasting time when I should be doing something IMPORTANT like raking leaves or cleaning the grout,reading a good book or two or three, sticking up for the underdog, long trips, short trips, arriving home after a trip, mastering a tricky skill, making things with my hands, bumper cars and go carts, museums, concerts... the list grows and changes as I develop new interests. I will try almost anything once except jumping into thin air off of or out of a perfectly solid object. I love my life. It is full and rich and happy. I am looking for someone to share these happy golden years.

In real life first dates tend to suck. No matter how much on-line or voice communication you have before the first date you are still meeting a virtual stranger. Part of what attracts us and piques our interest is that undefinable chemistry that we feel when we first see a person. (Did you know that 40% of our brain neurons are attached in some way to our retinas?) That being said, for a first date I like to meet for a drink after work. We can sort out if the initial chemistry says go or no. If it says go woo hoo! Second dates are where it gets fun. I want to DO something: pool, bowling, go carts, bumper cars, a museum or gallery exhibit. I like to get to know a person within the context of an activity. For the first few dates I DO NOT want to go out to dinner and just talk. I like to save that for later when we want to spend time together just talking and being with each other.
