I shower regularly. I don't use a blue-tooth headset. I don't wear pink shirts, and I don't pop my collar...even when it was "cool" a couple years back. This is not to say I have no fashion at all...I just keep things in balance.

I'm an engineer by profession. I went to KU for many years and got a M.S. in electrical engineering. I don't really think its my calling in life anymore, but it definitely is something I can look back on and be proud of.

I enjoy a wide variety of music, some of it quite eccentric. If you want to know more, ask me. I play guitar a lot, its somewhat of an obsession of mine. Music is very important to me, and my long term goal is to combine my electrical engineering knowledge with music, perhaps as a studio engineer. I'm currently rehearsing in two separate rock bands, which is keeping me quite busy.

One of the things that gives me the most joy is comedy. I'm a huge Daily Show/Colbert fan. I'm also tremendously into good stand up comedy. My all time favorite is Bill Hicks.

As far as politics goes, I consider myself a liberal, but I'm very easy to get a long with, politically. One thing I've learned over time is that most people view politics as a team sport. You're a republican, or a democrat, and you have a playbook of stuff you're supposed to stand for, and the other side is an enemy. I think that's crap.

I think I'm a pretty unique person. I've been told that, anyway. I appreciate art of all forms, yet I'm very rational and scientific. I'm fairly athletic, but sports bore me. Its hard to get me mad enough to argue on an emotional level, but I love watching heated debates. I think I'm a kind and gentle person, but I have an incredibly dark sense of humor.

For a first date, I think dinner would be ideal. Possibly followed by drinks, if dinner wasn't a disaster. =).

I like movies, but I think movies make for a terrible first date. "Hey, I'd like to get to know you better. Ok, lets spend 2 hours watching a screen intead of interacting with eachother...great idea!"
