I'm an old rock and roll guy who's done a lot of things in life. Most of that life has been spent outdoors, so don't be surprised if I pick an outdoor table. I like science fiction books, action movies, and stories of courage and honor. Spent a fair chunk of my life following the wild goose (bonus points if you catch the reference) and still love to get out and do things that matter.

I'm old-fashioned...I mean what I say. I have a quirky and cynical outlook, and a sense of humor dry enough to leave you looking out the corner of your eye at me and wondering if I'm serious. I enjoy hearing your story, and seeing what makes different people tick. I like being with someone...but I've recently rediscovered what passion means to me, and I won't settle. The click has to be there. WARNING! If we do click...I'll push you as far as you'll go! No farther..but I'll certainly test your limits.

What am I looking for? Someone who feels the same things I feel when we look at each other, and vice versa. Someone who makes me say "Damn" when I walk in the room. Someone who doesn't feel it's the man's job to apply for the position, but a mutual chemistry check. I know damn well that by the time we've reached our forties, we've ALL got baggage...it's learning to live with it that's the trick. I'm not compulsive about age; I generally date women my age or up to 10 years older, but as long as we work, I'm not gonna sweat it.

I smoke, and I generally prefer the company of others who do so as well. It's not a dealbreaker...but if smoke bothers you, we're not a match, for sure.

I'm a "let's meet someplace" kind of guy. I'll tell you up front, I prefer to meet in a public place that's comfortable for you, early on...that way we can tell whether we want to pursue things. If there's no click, there's no click, that's all...and I'd prefer to know that and get on with being friends BEFORE we build anything up.
