I grew up in a small town in the Midwest. I moved to California when I was 18 to attend college. I majored in Economics and have worked in the high tech industry since graduating. I've never married and am still hoping to find that special someone to love and support and share life's experiences. I have been blessed with many wonderful people in my life. I feel fortunate to have had some wonderful friends and colleagues. My father has been a source of unending love, encouragement, and understanding. My mother passed away 8 years ago and I miss her every day. She was my one of my best friends and a source of great wisdom and love.

On the fun side of things, I like to hike, bike, swim and dance. Keeping fit and eating well are important to me. I think that taking care of our bodies gives us all a chance to enjoy life to the fullest and be there for others. I believe that it is important to be thankful for each day we have our health and do everything possible to maintain it as long as we can.

I also love music, I started talking piano lessons when I was 7, thanks to my mom. I took lessons until I was ~16 and then more lessons in college. I have a baby grand piano in my living room that serves a comforting place to sit and and be expressive through music. These days are busy with work, taking classes, and keeping house just to name a few things. I look forward to the day when I will make more time to sit and play like I did growing up.

I consider myself to be honest, dedicated, and a deeply caring person. I am very disciplined but at the same time impulsive. I strive to do the best I can at work and treat each day as though it were my first day at work. I have been fortunate enough to travel around the world, through my work, which has enabled me to interact with interesting people, experience great food, and gain perspectives beyond our American borders.

I hope to travel more but at the same time get very involved in my local community.

Casual meeting then first date could be anything from a simple walk or picnic to a fine dining experience. The most important thing is to relax and have fun.
