Here's the place where we talk about ourselves, where we should be original and informative. O.K., so here goes. I've been divorced for a long time, no kids, I'm from Detroit, lived in New York, Denver and have been in Chicago for a very long time. One should try to be witty and erudite but the real story is that my hobbies, aspirations and musical tastes do not make me unique. I think what does is that my heart is in the right place, I'm very empathetic, have a great sense of humor and at this point in my life, I think I know what counts. And specifically, that is connection. I think it can be as easy as an e-mail or conversation to know if it exists; what follows is to find out if your instinct is correct. Short and sweet.

First date: this can be either a cup of coffee, a drink or dinner. Again, nothing particulary new here but I think when we write or talk, we'll know which one it should be.
