About Me
Hey there.

Are you looking for someone fun and exciting yet caring and genuine?

I view life as an adventure and I have no trouble finding fun wherever I go. I have a large group of fantastic friends and a lot of funny stories from my experiences working odd jobs and traveling around the world (some sketched out below).

Yet, I am mature, emotionally stable, career-oriented, and I know how to treat a lady. Oh, and I have a cat.

My friends say I am an optimist, perhaps because I smile a lot and have a goofy sense of humor. I really love what I do and have been told my enthusiasm is contagious. However, I consider myself a realist. I know that life isn't perfect. I try to make the world better in small ways and keep my eye on the big picture.

I am looking for someone smart, sociable, sexy, and sassy. Someone who respects herself, pursues her dreams, and dives headfirst into life. I find an honest, open, and caring attitude to be powerfully attractive, as well as a curious mind and quirky disposition. A splash of cuteness never hurt neither.

A few things about me:

I bike almost everywhere I go. It is the perfect mode of transportation. Except in snow. Stupid winter!

I have an aversion to purple food. It’s just weird, alright? Eggplant? I mean, seriously. Note: wine does not count as food.

One summer I took a job as an ice cream truck driver. I used my truck for everything--exploring the local mountains, moving furniture, daytrips to the beach... It was like a rental car that made me money wherever I decided to go. And the people I met... well lets just say that numerous stories came out of the experience.

In highschool I was in an auxiliary coast guard unit. We had a Mark V zodiac boat with twin 90 horsepower engines that was super fast and could take a pounding in rough seas. We used to chase seagulls and jump the boat clear out of the water as we crossed the wake of another vessel. We got in trouble once after repeatedly jumping the wake of a BC superferry. Also stories from this chapter of my life...

I was almost expelled from religious boarding school. They had six cardinal rules: no drinking, no smoking, no sex, no drugs, no gambling, and no dungeons and dragons style adventure games. Guess which rule we broke? Again. Stories.

I have an intense need for stimulation... but explosions and bad dialogue don’t really do it for me. I want to get deep down in the nitty-gritty of some complex system like a strategy game, the ins and outs of human relationships, or the nature of free will. That said, I love cheesy movies as much as the next guy. I recently saw Zombieland and laughed my ass off.

I once put $20,000 worth of damage on a truck, but it wasn’t my fault. I was hired by a residential development company to work odd jobs in their various (under-construction) communities… everything from hauling huge metal garbage away to lawn care to renting machinery and pumping rainwater out of foundation holes. The crazy thing was, they LEASED us a BRAND NEW TRUCK for all this heavy duty industrial work. Was it a big surprise that the box was so scratched up it had to be replaced?

I learned to drive in a 1982 Dodge Ram half-ton with hydraulic arms on the back that could pick up a 2000 pound bail of hay. I beat the living daylights out of it in my adventures around my grandpas’ farm. Sometimes we would sit on the flat truckbed as my grandpa would drive really fast. It’s amazing I survived all that. Good times.

Children, small animals, and old people usually like me. In fact, I get on well with most people. Just don't mess with my little sisters!

First Date
