When I am not at work, I enjoy running, biking, swimming, and kayaking. The coolest race I've ever done was the bay bridge swim last year, it was amazing. I would also like to hike the AT in a few years. Basically, I enjoy being outdoors.

I would like to join the Peace Corp in 3-5 years and eventually live in a developing country working with water and sanitation systems. I know it sounds strange, but that's what I want to do. I am not asking that you (potential date) necessarily feel the same way but be open to the possibility (as if things were to progress, it's sort of a non-negotiable at this point).

If people were to describe me, they would probably say I am laid-back, sort of quiet at first, spontaneous, fun to be around, sarcastic, but can be serious if the situation warrants it. Aside from spending time outdoors, I enjoy reading, a good board game w/ friends or family, or going out for a drink with friends.

I have an obsession with Virginia Tech football... During the season I will watch every game (if for some reason I am busy during the game - I have friends send me text message updates with the score), follow all team news on techsideline.com, check rankings on espn each week, and advocate on the teams behalf to non-hokie fans... During the offseason I will talk trash, research new/upcoming players, and follow all team news...

I enjoy most rock music, from 3 Doors Down to Death Cab for Cutie. I also enjoy christian rock and cheesy rap songs... There isn't much better than going to see live music. This year I've seen or am planning to see the following artists: Anberlin, Stars, Death Cab for Cutie, Switchfoot, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band, and Blue October.

Something sort of low-key, where we would be able to talk and get to know each other... anything from coffee to dinner to wandering around newark.
