First and foremost I am a nerd. Nay, a geek! I'm not going to deny it, lie about it, or even subvert it. I understand that it's not every lady's palatable dish, so I figured I'd throw that out there to avoid any confusion, but lo, there is more. In the midst of it, you will find a man with a career, responsible attitude, confident nature, self-respect, and a realistic view tempered by experience. My personality leans toward levity and humor. I see the positives of situations; every negative state obfuscates blessings in disguise. I do not pretend or preach that I am perfect. I am a realist. Every person has peaks and troughs, and I am no exception.

My day gig is of IT professional adventures; a caper I relish passionately. Daily challenges and obstacles of my career keep me alert and ever challenging my skills. I work at a college in Manhattan with over 800 staff and faculty, each with their own demands and personalities, along with technical mysteries that mimic a mystery novel; I am not only a technician, but sometimes a counselor and an investigator in such situations. At least it never gets dull. I regularly exercise, mostly running, but it's not a strong regiment. I do it to maintain a healthy lifestyle, along with keeping my stamina and energy up. Just a note to the women that gravitate toward athletic men, I don't have six-pack abs and muscular toned body, but I do possess a very sexy set of toned legs and a round derriere for a lucky lady to slap and squeeze.

I often hang a camera around my neck without humility at every chance of an expedition. I've been up and down the East coast, parts of Europe such as England, Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, and Cyprus. I've even been in Kuwait. Currently my plans are to explore the mid-West and the West coast, explore Europe further, and journey to the Far East as well. I spend my off-time occasionally dabbling in video games, gathering a troupe to play role-playing, board, or card games, hitting up the beach or swimming pools, prowling the streets of NYC in search of new feeding areas or entertainment, pick up a book and escaping reality, getting into a water balloon fight during the summer or snow ball fight during the winter, or jump in my car and explore the city and the land beyond the Hudson River. When I need to unwind, my relaxing moments consist of bedazzling myself with films, such as comedy, romantic comedy, adventure, sci-fi, mysteries, martial arts, military/war, musicals and anime. My favorite film of all-time is "Big Trouble in Little China". For musical tastes, I lavish my ears to genres such as punk rock, hard rock, heavy metal, black metal, power metal, 80s rock, trance, jazz, and classical music. One of my favorite artists is Armin van Buuren. Oh and I rock out with my****out to Weird Al's "White and Nerdy" video. I especially love the "Take #1" version with Weird Al and Donny Osmond in front of a green-screen. Quite an eclectic taste, but that's how I roll.

I am intimate, passionate, and affectionate, but I am not overbearing and imposing. I am practical and down-to-earth, honest and straight-forward. I am talkative but also a good listener. I can hold my own in a wide array of subjects, yet I'm not embarrassed to admit when I may not know a particular topic of discussion. I am always eager to learn. I am not into clubbing or the bar scene anymore. I rather walk on the cracks of the same old sidewalks, or sit down at a small park and engage in conversation any day. My idea of fun has matured past inebriation, ringing in the ear from loud music, or pissing in garden bushes in wee hours of the night.

The qualities I seek in a woman, are for her to be down-to-earth, honest, passionate, kindhearted, affectionate, decisive, and dependable woman. Not a girl, a woman. A woman that understands life is too short, full of stress and headaches, and on top of that there are bills to pay, but makes the best out of it all. I would love to meet a woman that is comfortable in her own skin. I am not looking for a Barbie doll, a self embellished sophisticated girl, or an easily identifiable high maintenance girl. If your evening and weekend plans always revolve around clubbing, bar scene, or checking out the trendiest lounges, then you are just a party girl and definitely not for me. On the other hand, if you are shy but have just enough of an adventurous side to delve and venture into getting to know someone of the opposite sex, then you're okay in my book. Basically, I am looking for a woman with a personality, wit, and a serious enough demeanor to pursue something meaningful.

My ideal date is of romantic origin. Walking on the beach, feeling the hot sand with our feet, then laying down enjoy an intimate and soul-revealing conversation, while the ocean serenades the ambiance. Or if the beach is inaccessible due to the season, a walk in the park and sprawling on the grass for sweet conversation that only the birds and the bees will witness. But to be practical, a rendezvous at a cafe, brick-oven pizza spot, or ice cream shop for a good conversation, lots of laughs, and the intent of making a connection is worth all the gold to me.
