First dates can be awkward and can make or break the potential for a continuing relationship, so I really prefer the meeting to be casual so each party can get to know each other. Distractions like movies, comedy clubs, etc. are just in the way. A light, casual lunch or dinner atmosphere is my favorite. I prefer to just be a couple on a first date, but it should be a meeting in a public place so there is no fear or anxiety.
