About Me
I'm a passionate person. I love life and all the amazing things it has to offer. Because of this, I sometimes try to take on too much. There are so many things I want to do it's sometimes hard to just pick one or two. I love my family, my friends, writing, being outdoors, traveling, dancing, being spontaneous, laughing until it hurts, smiling all the time, the slow burn, and the flash fire, too, reading, savoring things, being active, and taking time to cuddle. I want to live to enjoy each moment with all five of my senses. I love to be feminine, but I also grew up trying to be the boy my dad never had. This means I also enjoy cars, playing sports, camping, going fishing, watching football and baseball, drinking a beer, etc. I have many facets.
I'm currently working on writing my first novel. It would be a dream to have it published so I could write full time and teach a couple of college courses on the side. I'd also like to go back to school for my creative Ph.D in the next few years. Other goals I have are to run a half-marathon and learn how to surf.
Physically, I'm a work in progress. I'm not afraid to do the work to get back in shape, I'd just love to have someone to do it with. And I'd prefer to do it outside where we can enjoy everything SD has to offer rather than inside a gym. I'm looking to try new things, challenge myself, and expand my horizons. I'm interested in hiking. I love the beach. I consider myself to be very laid back, open-minded, self-assured, intelligent, and considerate.
I'm particularly interested in meeting someone who is happy, optimistic, self-confident, spontaneous, likes to give/receive surprises, is emotionally mature but still a kid at heart, who is articulate but doesn't take himself too seriously, who is confident but not conceited. I'm not afraid to take the initiative, but I did it so much in my last relationship that I'm really looking for someone who's willing make the first move and be a man.
If something you've read sparks your interest, try me. Life's too short not to take chances.
First Date
I think the best first dates are light-hearted and fun, something like mini-golfing or wine tasting. There is less pressure than going to a romantic dinner or meeting over coffee, but it still allows people to talk and get to know each other unlike watching a movie or going to a comedy show. Then again, I love all those other activities, too.
