About Me
Seems that you can't reveal too much about yourself on these things without it being judged out of context. So I'll just give the basics and if you like, shoot me an email. I'm 26, I live alone with my cats and dogs, I like riding motorcycles and scuba diving. I am finishing up my divemaster certification right now...maybe when I am done I will take a year and go work on a diveboat in the Keys or somewhere. I am a real estate agent and a projectionist. I read lots of books. I over analyze everything and try to take nothing at face value.
I'll generally respond to anyone at least once. If you can't spell even the most simple of words I probably won't reply twice though.
First Date
I think dating is antithetical to finding someone to build a relationship with. The entire process is backwards. Sure, dating is great for girls who get free food and other things out of it, but in reality a date is just a means to eliminate a potential suitor. You go out to dinner, you sit there and talk about your lives as though the other person actually cares; while in the meantime you are each picking out flaws in the other person and magnifying them. Everything is expected to be magical in just an hour or two and you each go home left wanting when it isn't.
Compare this to the real world, where you meet someone and get to know them without any romantic pretenses. You accept the other person's flaws and may even grow to enjoy them because you have taken the time to genuinely get to know someone without projecting your expectations upon them. Then after a few weeks or maybe even months you realize that you have romantic feelings for this person; you then reveal those feelings to each other and begin a romantic relationship already knowing if he or she is right for you (at that point in time at least.)
