Hi, I moved here from Florida in August of 2007 after 18 years in sunny Florida where I lived and worked in the Cocoa Beach area. I know........ WHY!!! Everybody asks....it's a long story but it was the right move for me and I'm glad I made it. I'm still meeting people and learning my way around the area which is rich in history which I love. God bless my GPS....I usually get where I'm heading!! I love to travel and have been lucky enough to do so extensively in my previous career. I have been to Europe approximately 30 times and would go again tomorrow. I get to travel around the states quite a bit in my current job which is nice as well. I love photography and the two go hand in hand nicely. I love to see new things and take pictures of the adventures. It's the challenge of trying to perfectly capture what you see so you can relive the experience over and over again. The effort decorates the walls in my house..... trip pictures from my adventures, Spain, Portugal, France, Morocco, Rock of Gibraltar, the U.K. In the states, Yosemite, San Francisco, Boston. Fall photos of Gettysburg, D.C. and recent trips to Boston and Albuquerque are the latest. I love all types of movies from The Notebook to Die Hard. Can't live without music, well except rap.... but then that's not really music is it? I love most sports...., play some, watch some. Football, hockey and college basketball are my favorites. Love to laugh and most of all... just enjoy what life brings my way. I'm easy going and never take life too seriously (on weekends that is) because my job requires I do so M-F. My one Pet Peeve..... D.C. drivers!! After driving all over the world....I can honestly say they're the worst here. I enjoy the area though....there's so much to do. Personally, I don't have a cookie cutter idea of what she/you should be or look like, wouldn't that be ignorant! Of course there has to be some physical attraction, and then, do we enjoy enough of the same things to spend quality time together? Then it's up to chemistry. We'll either click and get along or not. If not, that's ok, at least we each got the chance to meet someone new that we might not have otherwise. That being said, I AM a sucker for a nice smile, well and the eyes really are the window to the soul. But, most importantly, honesty above everything else. I always tell my children, "just be yourself, it's what you do best." Why pretend to be somebody your not......sooner or later you'll get tired of acting and you will have fooled and dissapointed two people. Life is too short for headgames..... My friends would tell you that I'm a people person, love being around others and I'm very honest and loyal to my friends. Always willing to lend an ear or shoulder in the bad times, or point and laugh at them when they fall down (don't worry, I'll check to make sure you're not hurt first!!).......and would expect nothing less in return! Meet for coffee or a drink is always easiest..... that way either one of us can run out the door!! On a second....whatever strikes us....site seeing in D.C. is always good. Maybe a drive up to Gettysburg or out to Skyline Drive and enjoy the view. Someplace where we can talk.
