Are there any gentlemen left out there who truly want to get to know someone for who they are inside and not just by what their outward appearance is? So many beautiful people out there... so many with little depth underneath the surface. Yet I do know there are those whom are beautiful inside and out and are also very special in their own unique way.

I could write on and on about what I am looking for and what I am not looking for... but why even begin to recite a "check list" - since being open is much more important to me. I honestly don't have a "type" - I don't really care about hair color or height or weight or how many hours you put in each day at the gym... what I do care about is that you know who you are and what you want and that you are living the life you always wanted to.... you must be a self-confident, adult man, who absolutely knows what he wants for his life's path beyond being married and raising children. Tell me who you are deep inside... Do you know what you want to do with the rest of your life and are you happy today?

Life is so short... there is an entire world out there to see and experience. I have no intention on missing any of it. I am a normal human being with emotions just like anyone else - I live for laughing and I love music - it makes my heart sing! Still trying to figure out what it is that men want! :) LOL! Just kidding... honestly, why so much drama? I think it is a huge waste of time in my life, I prefer a man that does not live his life full of drama... a smart, educated and normal man full of passion and dreams is someone I want to know.

I believe in "love at first sight" - chemistry is a beautiful thing... how do you know it exists until you meet in person? Sure - one can read a lot "between the lines" - but it's still no substitute for putting yourself out there and meeting face to face. Besides, dating is supposed to be fun - remember? :)

I live life to the fullest every day and I believe that the "glass is always full" - never half full or ever empty! Why waste time worrying about how full or how empty your glass is - just live your life. Life is a journey and I intend to live it as such! I am looking to find someone to laugh with - to walk along life's path together.

P.S. I have 2 sons - one who is in high school, and one who passed away from cancer in October 2003. Although he is not here on earth any more, he is always with me, as I believe a soul never dies... I say this because many are emailing me saying how sorry they are for my loss. While I am humbled by such kindness, I want you to know that I am a very happy person and I am so blessed to have had my son for a glorious 18 years. So many never even get that. I love the journey I am walking upon so there is no sadness - I miss him every day and life continues onward. It cannot be any other way. I am open to whatever new relationship that life has in store for me so I really just wanted to put all the "facts" out there upfront. I am not a "broken" type of woman - I am very strong and am proud of who I am and the life I chose to live. I am looking for someone to share the journey with that is also strong and happy.

P.S.S. I love wine and exploring new restaurants, all over the world, so if you don't drink at all, it won't work between us I assure you. No offense to those out there who prefer to not drink, I absolutely respect that. I just prefer to share such wonderful elixirs with the man I am dating... I think it's romantic... :) There is nothing like sharing a bubble bath with the room lit by candles sharing a nice glass of wine or champagne... Or lounging outside in the cool fall air in front of the fire... Or lounging inside by the fire.... anyway, you get the picture!

First dates can be anything, anywhere, anytime as this all depends on the chemistry found with just the first conversation! The rest is up to us! If we hit it off, great - we can spend time together having fun, enjoying one another's company. If not, no worries - maybe we are just friends... or nothing at all... Life is too short to worry about all of that - I prefer to just "go with it" and see where things go.
