About Me
So here we are, drifting in a virtual ocean of potential romance and searching for a solid anchor and a promising shipmate.
While this notion is embraced by the vast majority, it’s apparent that many perpetually delude themselves into the idea that they will truly get to know someone from studying an individual’s profile and then engaging in exhaustive email correspondence. Hey, I suppose that isn’t an unreasonable expectation or hope, especially considering the fact that huge matchmaking services (i.e. eHarmony) are making their fortunes upon this premise. Nonetheless, this approach does not work for me.
As far as my interests and lifestyle go, chances are that they aren’t all that divergent from yours. A lot of people in the online dating world speak of “chemistry” as the key element in finding a mate on the ship of life. I concur with that idea wholeheartedly, but believe that even the hope for “chemistry” cannot be realized in a profile alone.
Here’s the bottom line from where I stand: online dating is a useful resource, but let’s acknowledge its limitations. If my photos, age, height, occupation, marital status, etc. are at all agreeable to you, drop me a line, and I might just become your next shipmate.
