Hobbies include reading, exercising, caring for my nine-pound chihuahua/dachshund, traveling, decorating my living space for every holiday, watching old movies, and collecting china and crystal, a hobby handed down from my mother and grandmother. Also, I love cleaning and cooking, and my pies are the talk of family gatherings, especially my apple pie made, preferably with Northern Spy apples--not easy to find in Florida--so I will make do with Cortland or McIntosh.
Goals include never slowing down and traveling as much as I can. I loved Switzerland and Italy last summer and have London and Stockholm as my goals soon.
I have followed a lacto-vegetarian diet since 1979; however, I'm certainly not expecting anyone to change any of his eating habits around me, and I can cook just about anything.
I know most of the actors, actresses, and directors from films from the thirties and forties, and I can recite poetry and parts of Shakespeare's soliloquys. Is that unique? Also, I love telling jokes with intricate plot lines and hilarious punch lines.
Music is varied because I love opera, like Tosca and Madame Butterfly, but I also enjoy some bluegrass and vintage country, Beethoven, smooth jazz, and Celtic sounds. I listen to classical most of the time but also enjoy some classic rock hits. Frank Sinatra from his early days with songs like "We Three" is most enjoyable also. "We three . . . my echo, my shadow, and me." Honestly, I'm growing tired of this trio.

A first date would ideally include a dinner at a restaurant that features at least a few vegetarian choices. A movie, would be lovely, and, afterward, let's cap off the evening with two glasses of Napa Valley cabernet or sauvignon blanc at a place with quiet ambiance. Now, this is just my dream date. I'm also up for coffee at Starbucks.
