Hi! I'm a Jersey girl transplanted to Westchester. I moved here in mid-2007 for work, but just moved to Rye.

Monday through Friday I work hard in a career I enjoy (most of the time). I also volunteer at a non-profit agency. In my free time, I like to relax. I especially enjoy cooking (not to brag...but I'm AMAZING) and photography. I'm always up for a road trip, even if it's someplace local. I like going to parks, zoos and aquariums (you can probably tell from the pictures), museums, cultural events - pretty much anything/anywhere actually.

I consider myself to be smart, caring, open minded, motivated, independent, and a good communicator. I always try to stay positive and appreciate what I have. I am a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I get to know someone I open up quickly and am easy to talk to (so I've been told).

If you couldn't tell...I have brown hair past my shoulders (& growing) and green eyes that change color (sometimes I wear glasses). Yes, the pictures are recent and I know I look young - it runs in the family :)

Some interesting facts about me:

1. I am a natural wise a$$. I have the most fun with people who can "take it" as well as "give it back".

2. I hiked 80 miles in 8 days along the Appalachian Trail until I reached the top of the highest mountain in MA. Now I only "camp" in the Sheraton.

3. I've swam with dolphins and stingrays, and have been in a tank with a whale.

4. I've always wanted to learn to play the piano.

5. I can't understand why anyone would take a picture of themselves in a bathroom and post it on a dating website.

6. I am attracted to men who follow basic grammar rules and know how to proofread.

Aside from the obvious of being attracted to each other, I want to meet someone smart, funny (see info about sense of humor above), motivated, and open minded. While having things in common is important, I also appreciate the "differences" so that we can learn from each other. I am not interested in dating anyone who smokes (this includes people in the "I only smoke when I drink", "I'm trying to quit", and "I don't smoke cigarettes but I smoke other illegal stuff" categories).

Something casual and fun. The "coffee thing" doesn't really interest me, especially since I don't like coffee.

I think first dates will always be "weird". So it is the possibility of future dates when we are more comfortable that I look forward to.
