I'm a strong, independent, artistic-minded guy with many and varied interests. Absolutely love most all styles of music...though I will freely admit, I'm far less than nuts about Gangsta Rap or the twangy vocal stylings of Country. Apologies go out to all the Rap/Country fans out there, you're all heart! Always love to learn something new and I consider life to be the ultimate classroom, school's never "out".

Speaking of school, I was the 1st runner-up in my elementary school's 6th grade spelling bee and can still spell like nobody's business. Garnered 2nd place out of around 120 kids. Hey, to a 12 year-old kid that sort of thing is akin to "rock star" status. I kept up appearances later as an adult by actually becoming a rock star. Sort of.

I like my playtime and am usually up for just about anything...I own a home within walking distance to the center of town and really enjoy walking over to the local coffee houses, restaurants, theaters and the local mall for fun...looking for someone special to do it all with. All that said, I do love to just stay at home too...I work hard and "downtime" might simply involve catching up with you and your day after a nice dinner and a fun movie if it's been a particularly long haul for either of us. And "silence and a smile" works every now and then too...think being able to enjoy the quiet of another's company is one of the many hallmarks of a strong and healthy relationship.

In terms of whom I'm seeking, every woman possesses her own unique set of qualities that make her special and who she is so I'm not going to print a veritable laundry list of "must have/have nots" (what a turn-off anyway). But, I am looking for someone who has made some of the same life choices as I have to this point...career-focused and no kids as of yet. Thanks for reading and happy fishing everybody!

Something or someplace that is conducive to good and meaningful conversation tends to be the best way to approach a first date. I'm much more interested in getting to know *you* and whether there is any chemistry between us than what we're eating, drinking or doing. The second date...should we decide in favor of it...is where creativity runs free. ;)
