I have been told I am a good conversationalist and humorous storyteller..... I enjoy live theater and musical performances. I enjoy watching live comedy shows and there is nothing better than theater under the stars. I enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and grew up on the beaches in So. Cal and was a competitive swimmer in HS and college. Kayaking is my latest passion. Recently I purchased my first ultralight kayak. Bicycling, the downtown farmer's market is a great way to socialize, dinners out [especially at sidewalk cafes on a balmy night] - I love seeing and experiencing new places. Cooking for and entertaining my friends and family is enjoyable for me. I love to read when I can find the time.

Lodi is about 35 miles south of Sacramento between both 99 and I-5. I also realize that listing long term could be daunting, however I am a realist. I understand that dating and friendship is first and then, if it is right, we roll into long term.

I love the adventure of life, with all its up and downs. What a gift it is! Doing what is right, offering help where I see it is needed, having a smile and a kind word for people I meet. I believe that everyone I meet brings a positive to my life in some way or another—I can only hope the same for the people I meet. Doing things to the best of my ability and making sure what I do is in line with what I believe is a must for me.

I am a big sports fan. I enjoy most sports at all levels and have done the tailgating, and season tickets, fantasy football [two year league champ] and even attended a boxing match [learned quite a bit there].

A sense of humor, common sense, respect, passion, compassion, caring, and a sense of what is right is what I hope to find in a partner. Your eyes twinkle with a bit of mischief and you have a life force that is powerful-sense of humor and joy that can make even bad times seem tolerable – a smile that is infectious and draws me towards it like a beacon in the night – a warmth that surrounds you and seems to offer safety to all who fall within your care…those are the things that are attractive to me. You are an independent thinker, appreciate intimacy on many levels, and must have monogamy in your relationships, and a darn good kisser. You find sharing a meal and enjoying conversation to be a great way to spend an evening, as would tailgating and then enjoying a ball game together. We enjoy sharing intellectual conversation and raucous jokes all in the span of five minutes. You take me as I am because we both have our quirks and foibles that make us interesting and who we are and they can be as endearing to you as yours are to me. We accept each other, as we are, no changes necessary. You enjoy travel, quiet evenings, eclectic times, are flexible, and, while a plan is a good thing, it is okay if it falls apart. Most importantly, you fit with me and I with you, and we compliment and encourage each other to grow in this life and be more than we imagined–individually and together.

I am willing to relocate if we discover that we have found an incredible, amazing, connection and would open my home to you as well, if you should choose/want to relocate to my neck of the woods.

And finally, if there is a road less traveled I am usually on it, oftentimes not by conscious choice. I do find that it has been an interesting journey so far. My path, except for the death of a wonderful man, has not disappointed me and now, given the time to reflect upon, even that was a period of my life which has left me with the most wonderful of gifts . I have lost a sweetheart and that experience and those years are with me not as baggage but as a rich tapestry that continues to add to who I am.

The imps of chaos and irony love to toss me change-ups every now and then, just to keep my life all very out of the ordinary. This has given me ample opportunities to experience joy, flexibility, grief, humility, wonder, laughter, and perseverance, as well as plenty of moments to savor, reflect upon, rejoice over, and remember.
