About Me
About my life and what I'm looking for

My female friends (wrote this profile for me) and tell me I'm one of the good ones. I've been a small business owner for quite a few years. My latest venture has proven to be the most successful and required the most ingenuity. When I encounter a problem there's usually a fair amount of cursing involved, but I always find a fix for the issue. In the past year I've made several trips overseas as part of my work.

If I could meet anyone, dead or alive, real or not, it would be a toss-up between Bruce Willis and Tony Soprano. Bruce would probably win - I think he's a down-to-earth guy, not your typical Hollywood type.

I've had good luck and bad in relationships, but the ups and downs have all been worth it because of my son. While he is not my biological child, I can not imagine my life without him.

-MY TURN-

I loved the Sopranos, but I do realizes that "T" is only a character.

Speaking of characters, I can really relate to the female lead in Tombstone, the one who ends up marrying Wyatt Erp when she talks about what she wants out of life is "room service". Yeah that's more my style I'd say.

My idea of a perfect date is more like dinner and drinks with great conversation, maybe throw in some live music or pool, or hell even karaoke vs say hiking or a museum visit. I love interesting conversation and I'm full of stories and opinions. (BTW I'm terrible at karaoke but I think the worse you are at it the more fun it is. :)

I love restaurants mainly because it's my only hope for good food. I'm a terrible cook.

I'm always a fun date too because I'm very easy going, have a great sense of humor and I don't have a mean bone in my body. I love meeting and getting to know people and understanding different perspectives.

I think I'm about done here. If you would like o know more, just ask.

One last thing. I am not a game player at all. I'm the farthest thing from it actually. I am a guy. I like guy things and I'm not really feminine at all, but I am always a true gentleman. Mostly though, I'm not messing around here. I'm looking to meet someone special and settle down.

for fun:
I enjoy many things from going out to dinner with great conversation to staying in for a quiet evening. I love to play golf but never seem to get out enough. I prefer watching interesting TV over most "normal" shows. I'm open to most anything.
my job:

I've been self employed for 12 years now and I've started several businesses. I've made a lot of mistakes but I've learned from every one of them. I'm finally starting to enjoy some success.

my ethnicity:
My mother (German Polish?) was a baby boomer and came from a working class background. My grandfather was an electrician. I'm an all American mutt. I'm not too concerned with heritage in life

my religion:
I was raised Catholic but it didn't take I guess. I'm a very moral person. If I had to guess (or bet) I'd say that there is a God. I'm just not impressed with organized religion. I have a lot of respect for all people's faiths / or lack thereof.

favorite hot spots:
Travel? Anywhere warm with a beach and great service! Vegas is always fun for a weekend too. I love to eat out. I don't have any cooking skills but would actually love to learn someday, but I really enjoy going out to a great dinner.

favorite things:
I loved The Sopranos and a good poker game! I find most movies a little disappointing, and prefer to go on someone's recommendation.
last read:

I prefer non fiction to fiction. I'm less interested in reading for entertainment. I'd rather learn something new. For fun, I'd rather spend my time with someone else rather than sit at home and read a novel alone. I do read the paper regularly.

First Date
I prefer dinner, drinks and great conversation for a first date. I'm done fooling around with dating and I'm looking for my soul-mate now. My main objective with a first date is to have some fun and get to know each other quickly.

But I'm always open to suggestions. :)
