I am 59 years old. I have four grown children who live in TN, WA, and PA and 10 grandchildren in those 3 states and IA. Family is important to me. I try hard not to interfere in my children's lives and decisions. I love them, pray for them, give advise sparingly when asked and help them when possible. I have a very good relationship with each of them.

My husband of 32 years passed away last August after being ill for many years. Before that, I took care of my mother and grandmother. Now, it's time for me! (Maybe that is selfish, I guess.) I try to be honest and up front with people and expect the same from them.

I belong to a Southern Baptist Mission Church and am very active there. But, my faith in Jesus Christ defines who I am and I am not “stuck” to Southern Baptist. First and foremost, I endeavor to be the kind of Christian God wants me to be and I look forward to sharing those same ideals with someone else.

I enjoy dancing, karaoke, reading, writing, rides in the country, picnics, a nice dinner, holding hands, movies (if you can find a good one?!?) simple things like that.

If you're looking for a model or a skinny woman, forget me. I stand about 5'10” tall and have a lot of meat on my bones. I wear glasses and my black hair is turning gray. People tell me I have a heart of gold and a good head on my shoulders. My best features are my smile and my voice. I am debt free and plan to stay that way. The man for me doesn't cuss, drink, chew, smoke, or do drugs. (Right now I'm talking about. The past is just that—the past, gone, forgiven and forgotten.) There will be NO sex before marriage but LOTS of it afterward.

A first date would probably be in a public setting. Maybe a nice dinner (I'm not really into anything fancy) possibly dancing. Or go to a concert. Just talk and get to know each other.
