*UPDATE: I finally got a job! Yay! I am so excited. Being laid off in Houston is BRUTAL!
I just moved back home to Houston from Dothan, AL (after being laid off) and realized all my friends have gotten married or have kids or BOTH! To add insult to injury I just celebrated my 31st birthday...OMG I'm 31! How did this happen?
I guess I'm looking to meet someone who is interested in pursuing a long term relationship if the chemistry is there. I am a feisty girl who has a good head on her shoulders & speaks her mind. I've been accused of being brutally honest and am known to pout when I don't get my way. My biggest flaw is swearing, I have a mouth that could make a sailor blush (but only when provoked, I don't have Tourettes or anything). I am passionate about certain subjects and can have a bad temper at times. I wear my emotions on my sleeve ~no guessing games here~ if you hurt my feelings or make me mad-you'll know it. I'm a bit naive, overly idealistic, and much too forgiving.
With all of this said, and I HOPE you're still reading, I am loyal, courteous, and responsible and I expect the same from others. I don't take myself too seriously, am very humble and like to make others laugh. I am a warm, lovable, touchy feely/snuggly monkey sorta gal. My bulldogs are my children, so you must be willing to accept that we are a "packaged deal".
I do like going out drinking on OCCASION but am really sick of the club scene. I've started to notice I'm one of the older chics in there and it kinda freaks me out. I don't wanna be that "cougar" at the club thinking she's still 21.
My passion is traveling and learning about new cultures and I took an amazing trip to India in March. My body type, hmmm...more Lil' Kim, less Kate Moss. I've been told I'm "thick" or "built like a black girl".
I'd really like to meet someone without children (or preferably no more than one) as I'd like to start my own family someday. Although, there is an exception to every rule, i.e. you wouldn't mind having more someday and/or we can afford to take care of all of them. But let's not put the cart before the horse....

First Date
A SHORT, get-to-know-ya meeting with a few margaritas to break the ice. I HATE blind first dates! I think the best thing to do is to meet for lunch or a drink and then part ways. If we both click then we can set up a fun second date where we can relax and be ourselves.
