About Me
I’m a recent transplant starting my latest adventure...life in Colorado. My Colorado “to do” list starts something like this…play in the Vail snow, move to some live blues, drive the Rockies, find a local Mexican restaurant with great salsa and delicious Margaritas, and ??? If you hurry, I might just let you add a few things to the “list”.
I enjoy keeping fit by working out, playing sports (I just started underwater hockey, what a blast!), and generally being healthy. I recently purchased the "Epic Pass" and a snowboard, so I plan on spending a good amount of time on the slopes this winter.
In Cali my favorite outdoors activities were racing ATV’s on the dunes at Buttercup or jumping wake at the river. Here it seems like everyone is SOOO into camping. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy a relaxing camping trip, having a few beers, and chilling with friends around a fire. However, I usually like to head back to a RV when it’s time for bed.
If we decide to "stay in" a great evening might consist of sharing a bottle of wine while snuggling on the couch and watching good TV. My favorite way to watch TV is to get past seasons I haven’t seen on DVD. That way I can watch as many of them as I want without having to wait until "next week". My all time favorite TV show is “The Wire”. (If you haven't watched this, ask me, because you're missing out.) If we don't have anything good to watch, I would be just as happy playing cards, having silly/deep conversation, or just reading together.
I mostly read non-fiction...the last 3 books I read were “The Greatest Show on Earth”-Richard Dawkins, “The Alchemist”-Paulo Coelho (if you haven’t read this I’ll lend it to you, it’s a must read), and “Nietzshe in 90 Minutes”-actually an audio book. Oh yeah, and my best read “How to quadruple your online dating success in ten minutes or less”:)
If we're laying in bed on a Sunday morning and you decide to start a tickle fight...it's on! Be careful, by the time we finish rolling around you might have peed your P.J.s from laughing so hard.
When I was eight I told my mom that I only wanted to marry a “fat” woman because, “I like to hug soft women”. It wasn't until a few years later that I discovered that all women are soft. :) I’m very affectionate and I love to give/get lots of hugs and kisses.
I don’t take life too seriously, but I do have a serious side. I'm driven and ambitious when it comes to my goals, career, and what I want to accomplish in life. I live life with integrity and have high expectations for myself and those around me. In short, I’ll support and challenge you to achieve your dreams...and at the same time call you on any B.S. I'll expect the same from you.
Besides being busy with work, hobbies, and great friends, I have a beautiful 3-year old daughter who because of mom’s promotion recently moved to the East Coast. I don’t get to see her often enough, but we have a special time each night when she gets to tell me everything about her day via webcam. In a year her mother’s “in-house corporate headquarters job” will end and they’ll be moving back to the West Coast. I can’t wait. I miss being more involved with my daughter’s life.
If I had to sum up my general philosophy, it would be that..."In life we get exactly what we put into it. Life is a fun adventure meant to be enjoyed, and our only real limitations are those that we impose on ourselves."
Now that we know a little bit about me, let’s see if you would be a good match.
•Are you upbeat and fun? You've got to have a good sense of humor if we’re going to hang out. •Are you intelligent? You need to have more going for you than just your looks. •Are you trustworthy and honest? I don’t think this needs an explanation. •Are you kind with a good heart? Looks, smarts, and ambition are important, but for me what’s on the inside is “Numero Uno”.
If you’re all of the above, then that’s a good start...you’ll have to figure out the rest of the puzzle on your own. :)
If I find the right woman, my heart's available for a long-term relationship, and if not, you'll have made a cool friend. Let’s start by having some laughs, getting to know each other, and just see where it leads.
First Date
How about a non-date, we'll do something low key and no pressure. We could go for a walk, do some shopping, or even do the "over used" coffee/drinks.
On our first date, I will plan something you'll really enjoy that will allow us to really get to know each other. Curious? Well you'll just have to wait and see. :)
